Garage Door Opener Repair in Denver & Littleton

Remote won't work? Opener makes noise but the door doesn't move? We diagnose and fix fast.

From remotes that stopped working to openers that grind, strain, or reverse unexpectedly — Metro Denver Garage Door services all major opener brands. We're an authorized LiftMaster and Genie dealer and carry parts for virtually every model.

Signs Your Opener Needs Repair

  • Remote or wall button stopped working suddenly
  • Opener runs, but the door doesn't move (or moves very slowly)
  • Door reverses partway through closing (safety sensor issue)
  • Grinding, clicking, or humming sounds from the motor unit
  • Opener light doesn't turn on when triggered
  • Door only responds sometimes — intermittent operation
  • Chain or belt is loose, sagging, or making noise

When to Repair vs. Replace

Openers made after 1993 include auto-reverse safety sensors. Openers older than that (and some early-90s units) lack this feature and don't meet current safety standards for homes with children or pets — replacement is the safer call, not repair.

For newer openers, most failures come down to a burnt-out logic board, a stripped drive gear, misaligned safety sensors, or a worn chain/belt. All of these are typically much cheaper to repair than to replace the whole unit. Where a repair no longer makes sense — usually 12–15+ years on a unit that's failed repeatedly — we'll say so honestly and quote both options.

What Affects Opener Repair Cost

Pricing depends on what actually failed. Common cost drivers:

The failed component
A safety sensor realignment is inexpensive. A logic board or motor gear replacement costs more but is still cheaper than a new opener.
Brand and model
LiftMaster and Genie parts (both brands we carry as authorized dealers) are readily available. Older Sears/Craftsman or off-brand openers sometimes need discontinued parts.
Drive type
Chain, belt, and screw-drive openers each have different repair paths.
Add-on programming
Reprogramming remotes, keypads, or car HomeLink units after a repair is usually included but worth confirming up front.
